A Machine is a craftable device that can be used to convert one kind of resource (or resources) into another. Most machines require more than one block to be assembled into the final device.
Most Machines accept Spark as a Resource and can be enhanced through a Power Coil or an Advanced Power Coil..
Machines (not including Furnaces) will Smart Stack together.
Wear
As Machines get used, they become worn. Once a machine is worn to 0%, it will no longer be able to continue with its crafting queue and will need to be repaired using a Spanner.
Crafting Machines
Crafting Machines require 4 blocks of the same type to be placed so that aides are touching (using your Tetris-fu) before they become active and usable.
Each Crafting Machines has its own unique type of Power Coil or Advanced Power Coil.

The Crafting Table is one of the most basic Machines in the game. It is required to make almost everything.
The Crafting Table may be handcrafted singly or in quantity using a Crafting Table. Many players create a large inventory of Crating Tables to take advantage of embarrassingly parallel processing of raw materials.

The Centraforge can be used to add a little something extra to Gear. |
The Centraforge is a machine used to enhance and modify any item of Gear (Weapons, Tools, Grapples, Spanners, Chisels) to make them more powerful and have different effects and capabilities. After using the Centraforge the result is Gear with one or more Traits applied to them. Traits come in three flavours: Boons (positive Traits), Defects (negative Traits) and Quirks (strange Traits which are normally negative).
The Centraforge requires 4 crafted Centraforge blocks to be placed with at least one side of each block touching another block before it will be activated and can be used for Forging.

To use the Centraforge you need to place an item (or stack if the same item) in the forge and load Forge Ingredients into the deck, then press the Begin Forging button. The only required ingredient is Setting Resin but you will want to have at least some sort of Boon Compound to add Boons.
The chance of success in the Centraforge are affected by the Character's Intelligence Bonus, Vitality Bonus, and Power Bonus, the items' Flexibility, and the amount of Power in the Centraforge (added through Centraforge Power Coils and Advanced Centraforge Power Coils).
- Intelligence, the Gear’s Flexibility and the Centraforge’s Power all influence the Effectiveness of the Centraforge session. The higher the Effectiveness the more Boon points get added and the better the Boons will be.
- Vitality determines how much Stability the Centraforge session has. Using ingredients will reduce the Stability, if it ever reaches zero the Gear and all used ingredients are disintegrated.
- Power determines how much Vigour the Centraforge session has. Vigour is used up when using some ingredients. There is no penalty for running out of Vigour, apart from not being able to use ingredients that need Vigour.
Guide to Forging
Furnaces
Furnaces are machines that apply the Heat extracted from Fuel to transform resources. Furnaces are used to smelt ores, cook foods, kiln bricks and make glass.
Furnaces require two separate specific block to be combined by placing one on top the the other.
The Furnace is a type of machine which can be used for smelting ores, cooking foods, kilning bricks, and making glue and glass.
There are three types of furnaces.
Material | Components | Heat Multiplier |
---|---|---|
Stone Furnace | Stone Furnace Base + Stone Furnace Crucible | 1.0 |
Iron Furnace | Iron Furnace Base + Iron Furnace Crucible | 0.5 |
Titanium Furnace | Titanium Furnace Base + Titanium Furnace Crucible | 0.25 |
A higher tier furnace will smelt at a quicker pace.
A Furnace requires two components of the same material placed in a particular order: a Furnace Crucible must be placed on top of a Furnace Base.
Either part of the Furnace can also be used alone as a decorative element.
For crafting visit the Crafting page.
Stone Furnace
The Stone Furnace is the tier 1 Machine for smelting or cooking. It consists of two blocks which must be place in a specific vertical order (the crucuble must be placed on top of the base).
Some cunning devils prefer the look of furnace bases as decorative blocks.

Chrysominter
The Chrysominter is a machine implemented in patch 220 which allows the conversion of items into coins at a fixed rate which is preset by the development team. Once 100 coin have been built up in the Chrysominter 100 coins payout will be added to the player’s coin. Attach Chrysominter Power Coils (special power coils for this machine) to the Chrysominter to increase the payout. Each Coil increases the payout by 5 coin with up to 8 Coils max. So at 8 Coils each 100 coin bundle in the Chrysominter will pay out 100 + 5x8 = 140 coin.
Items with wear (Machines, Tools, Augments) will have a reduced payout value based on the amount of wear.
